Two Training Courses on “Managerial Skills” for Senior Customs Staff

Applying proper communication approaches and continuously developing leadership competencies are essential for any leader. These skills are critical for effectively managing work processes, guiding employees, gaining colleagues’ support, and ensuring the engagement of all stakeholders.

From September 22 to October 31, 2023, the RA SRC Training Center conducted two courses on “Managerial Skills” for senior customs staff, covering 26 topics related to soft skills development.

The courses aimed to provide participants with information, tools, approaches, and practical experience, allowing each individual to adopt the methods that help make more informed, data-driven, and effective managerial decisions.

The courses combined theoretical and practical activities, including lectures, visual materials, discussions, case analyses, behavior analysis, and identification of cause-effect relationships, along with self-assessment tools and comprehensive methods for developing and improving soft skills.

When selecting instructors, the Center focused on two key criteria:

  • Instructors possess rich and relevant knowledge and experience, particularly related to the public sector.
  • Course content is designed based on the unique needs and goals of participants, with approaches tailored to ensure expected and desired outcomes for the audience.

The instructors’ professional work was highly appreciated by participants, supporting the continuation of such courses in the future.

“Effective communication is the way to inspire and motivate people and ultimately the key to your team’s overall success, whether you hold a leadership position in the public or private sector,” said Arusyak Mirzakhanyan, Director of the Training Center.
