Training on “Change Management”

Development is inseparably linked to change, and success comes to those who respond most effectively to the changes happening around them.

Change represents the transition from the current state to a new one, which requires stepping out of the comfort zone and taking risks. To take risks wisely, one must manage the process and direct actions toward the desired outcome—whether for personal growth, organizational development, or societal progress. In many cases, changes meet resistance, and effective management helps make an uncertain future as visible and predictable as possible.

Effectively managing this process requires the proper and timely application of approaches and tools. For this reason, the “Change Management” topic was included in the “Management Skills” training series at the RA SRC Training Center, conducted by Ani Jabaghyan, a trainer at the SRC Training Center, for senior officials of the tax service.

Change management enables organizations to respond optimally to internal and external challenges and opportunities, promoting sustainable development for the following reasons:

  • Minimizing disruptions: Changes can interfere with the natural processes within an organization. Effective management helps minimize such disruptions through strategic planning and monitoring.
  • Mitigating risks: Changes may create new risks, and management involves assessing these risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
  • Facilitating adoption: People often resist change due to fear of uncertainty or the unknown. Effective change management involves communicating the reasons and vision for the change, ensuring support, continuous communication and participant engagement, which reduces resistance and increases the likelihood of successful implementation.
  • Achieving outcomes: Many changes are driven by the need to meet objectives. Effective change management ensures that the changes required to achieve these goals align with the organization’s overall operations and strategy, etc.

Poorly managed changes can lead to organizational instability and negatively affect productivity and outcomes. Proper change management ensures that stability is maintained both during and after the implementation of changes.
