The SRC Training Center: Advancing Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Development

On October 22, within the framework of the COP17 Conference, the team of the Training Center of the State Revenue Committee presented the importance of professional education, cooperation, and innovative solutions in promoting sustainable economic development, biodiversity conservation, and environmental awareness.

In the context of fulfilling international commitments aimed at biodiversity conservation, the Training Center plays an important role in developing the professional competencies of customs officers by organizing training courses on the detection and prevention of environmental violations, Green Customs policies, and the requirements of international environmental agreements. In this regard, COP17 serves as an important platform for expanding international cooperation, exchanging knowledge, and implementing new initiatives.

The Center also continues to advance the digitalization of educational processes, conserving resources and reducing the need for printed materials and travel while improving accessibility. This approach not only enhances the efficiency of educational processes but also contributes to the development of environmental awareness.

Alongside professional training, the Training Center implements public awareness initiatives to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable behavior. To this end, the Center has developed various awareness-raising materials and messages, including the “Green Passport,” which introduces the significance of COP17, the concept of “Green Customs,” the Center’s role in developing a green economy, and the contribution and responsibility of every citizen in protecting the environment.
