SRC and the SRC Training Center at “Work & Do: YSU Expo-2026”
On September 23, the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the SRC Training Center participated in the “Work & Do: YSU Expo-2026” event held at Yerevan State University, with the aim of engaging in professional dialogue with young people, presenting activities and opportunities within the public sector, and establishing new professional connections and partnerships.
This year, YSU Expo was held in a new format, transforming the traditional career fair into a more interactive and practical platform. Students and graduates had the opportunity not only to learn about organizations and available career opportunities, but also to communicate directly with employers and professionals and discuss labor market requirements and issues related to starting a career.
A key component of the new format was the “Career Laboratory” interactive platform, which hosted a panel discussion titled “First Steps in a Career: What Employers Expect.”
Arusyak Mirzakhanyan, Director of the SRC Training Center, participated in the discussion as a guest speaker. The panel focused on starting a career as a young professional, labor market requirements, employers’ expectations, and the recruitment process.
Addressing employers’ expectations of young professionals, Arusyak Mirzakhanyan emphasized that, alongside professional knowledge, employers value the ability to learn and grow, responsibility, integrity, adaptability, and teamwork skills. She also highlighted the importance of self-awareness and clearly defining one’s own values, as well as the potential, courage, and willingness to learn among young people, noting that these qualities can serve as an important foundation for development.
Concluding her remarks, Arusyak Mirzakhanyan encouraged young people to believe in their abilities and dreams, continue learning, and value their own potential.
At the same time, representatives of the SRC Training Center and the SRC Human Resources Management Department jointly presented professional and career opportunities to event visitors.
Such platforms provide an important opportunity to build direct connections with young professionals, present opportunities for continuing education and professional development, and foster dialogue on the professional skills needed within the public sector.
