Specifics of Serving Individuals at Temporary Storage Warehouses: Professional Training
From September 23 to 29, 2025, the RA SRC Training Center organized a training course on the topic of “Specifics of Serving Individuals at Temporary Storage Warehouses.” The course was designed for four separate target groups of the RA SRC Foreign Economic Activity Customs Service and Control Department.
Taking into account the recruitment of new staff within the SRC system and the need to strengthen their professional knowledge and develop practical skills, a comprehensive training program was developed, including:
- key legislative provisions applied during customs operations involving individuals and goods for personal use,
- practical training on completing the passenger customs declaration and customs receipt order, which was introduced as an innovation.
It was particularly emphasized that, from now on, the customs declaration and release of goods for personal use will be carried out in one location, which will ease the process of receiving cargo and contribute to the simplification of service.
The training format included:
- thematic presentations,
- analysis and discussion of real-life cases,
- Q&A sessions and clarification of practical issues.
The course was conducted by Lilit Avetisyan, Head of the Risk Identification and Customs Administration Enhancement Division of the RA SRC Foreign Economic Activity Customs Service and Control Department, Nelli Kharatyan, Deputy Head of the Professional Center Division for Classification and Customs-Tarif Matters, Armenak Melkonyan, Chief Customs Inspector of the same division, Narine Sahakyan, Senior Customs Inspector of Customs Operations Service Division No. 1.
The trainers’ professional knowledge and experience significantly contributed to the effectiveness of the course.
