First Phase of Cooperation Successfully Completed
From November 4 to 6, a three-day training course entitled “Training for Cargo Inspection System Operators” was held at the Training Center of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, with the participation of experts from the Ukrainian Customs Training Center.
The training brought together 13 SRC employees. Under the guidance of Ukrainian experts Maksym Prykhodchenko and Mariia Belkot, participants explored methods for interpreting and analyzing X-ray images generated by cargo inspection systems, as well as techniques used to conceal prohibited goods.
Over the three days, theoretical knowledge was combined with practical exercises. Participants analyzed images generated by inspection systems, examined various scenarios, and enhanced their skills in identifying suspicious areas and potential risks.
On the final day, training participant Nairi Vardanyan also shared his professional experience by presenting examples of smuggling cases. His presentation provided an opportunity to discuss real-world situations, exchange professional insights, and build on the knowledge gained throughout the training.
The course was organized within the framework of cooperation between the SRC Training Center and the Ukrainian Customs Training Center, with the support of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Office in Armenia.
The first phase of cooperation has been completed, with further training programs planned to strengthen professional capacities in the customs sector and promote the exchange of international expertise.
