Education is Eternal: Memorandum of Cooperation between the SRC and ASUE
At the initiative of the RA SRC Training Center, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE). The event also featured a meeting with ASUE students titled “From Student to Leader.”
The memorandum aims to:
- promote the development of professional education and improve the quality of educational programs,
- provide young professionals with opportunities to deepen and strengthen their knowledge,
- equip academic staff with opportunities to enhance their professional skills in line with international standards,
- stimulate applied research and sectoral analysis,
- support the implementation of results-oriented research in the public financial system,
- establish mutually beneficial cooperation,
- strengthen university–labor market links and create educational programs aligned with modern requirements.
The chairman of the RA SRC Eduard Hakobyan described the initiative as historical, noting that after many years he was once again meeting his former professors, this time as a partner.
"Today, I spoke with Mr. Grigoryan about how this historical moment was one of my dreams. When you begin your professional journey from a university and form a mission for yourself, you always feel the longing for that 'second family' and want to return to start an exciting new phase of life with them. In reality, today we are launching exactly such an exciting stage of cooperation. We agreed to treat these arrangements with great care and bring them to life, demonstrating that any institute—be it private or public—plays a vital role because, ultimately, we all serve a single goal."
The Chairman emphasized that the memorandum must translate into practical actions, highlighting the importance of consistency in its implementation. He also marked the key role of the Training Center in fostering initiative, professional training, and continuous education.
In the second part of the event, the Chairman met with ASUE students, sharing his life experience and speaking about achievements, dreams, and the path to realizing them. Referring to competition, he noted that the highest form of competition is competing with oneself. He concluded his remarks with the statement: “Education is eternal.”
ASUE Rector Armen Grigoryan thanked Eduard Hakobyan for the meaningful and open discussion with the students, emphasizing the importance of the issues raised for their future success. According to him, much depends on students’ attitudes toward their education and future.
The event concluded with a Q&A session. The authors of the two best questions received prizes.
This is the third memorandum initiated by the RA SRC Training Center, reflecting its results-driven activities and continuous development.
