Boardroom Mindset: Game Theory and Decision Trees
The training course will take place soon, 2026 (18:30–21:00). Upon completion, a certificate will be awarded by the SRC Training Center of the Republic of Armenia.
Every public policy decision resembles a move on a game board, where each choice can influence future developments. Under conditions of limited resources, uncertainty, and multiple stakeholders, decision-makers need not only to assess their own actions but also to anticipate the possible responses of others.
Public policy decision-makers frequently operate under resource constraints, scarcity, and unpredictability. This practical training introduces participants to analytical tools that support effective decision-making and help avoid inefficient policy and management decisions.
During the course, participants will learn how to identify and accurately diagnose policy and management problems; build visual decision models (decision trees) to evaluate possible outcomes;
analyze strategic interactions where decisions depend on the actions of stakeholders, partners, or other actors.
The course is designed for public sector specialists and leaders involved in policy development, administrative decision-making, and complex situation management, as well as anyone interested in developing practical skills for effective decision-making and managing complex scenarios.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
• Systematically identify and define public policy problems;
• Develop and use decision trees to visualize alternative scenarios;
• Anticipate stakeholder behavior and strategic responses;
• Evaluate the consequences of decisions using structured analytical methods.
The training includes group discussions and analyses of real-life public administration and governance cases, allowing participants to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
